REPLACING DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS.

At Curly Girl we make every effort to give our customers a fair, rewarding and enjoyable shopping experience. We hope that our policies do just that. Should you have an issue with any product that is purchased, it is Curly Girl's policy to replace that product with a new one. In order for this replacement to be honored, you must contact us within 10 days of purchase. A detailed description and picture will be needed in order to facilitate the replacement. Your replacement will be forwarded to you within the following time frames:

Body products: will be mailed within 3-5 days after receipt of the issue.

Candles: will be mailed 10 days after receipt of issue. This is due to the cure time a candle needs in order to be as fragrant as possible.

FROSTING, WET SPOTS & BUMPY TOPS

Frosting
Frosting is a white crystalline layer that forms on the surface of natural waxes. Frosting happens when the wax, such as soy and coconut, tries to return to its natural state.
​
2. Wet Spots
Please be aware that candles made with natural wax such as soy and coco-soy may have "wet spots" on the side of the jar. A wet spot is caused by shrinkage and the wax pulls away from the side of the jar as it cools. When cured the spots can look white in colored wax and wet in white wax. ​

​ 3. Bumpy Tops
After you burn your soy and/or coco-soy candle, the way may harden with a rough, bumpy top. This is caused when the hot wax in the melt pool cools and solidifies at an inconsistent rate.

All three of the items mentioned above have no bearing on how the candle was made or how it performs. It is just a feature of natural wax.

Since all of my candles and wax melts are hand-crafted, they may have some imperfections. These imperfections can include: discoloration of the wax, minor label imperfections, minor imperfections on the jar/tin, wet spots, etc. None of these imperfections impact the quality of the candle.

CANDLE CARE
Your candle will last longer and also cause minimal soot and black smoke if you trim the wick to 1/8" to 1/4" before each new burn.
